Critical Issue After VIM Activation – Turtle Mode + DTCs Triggered - SebiC98 - 07-01-2025

Hi all,

I tried to activate Video in Motion (VIM) on my Volvo XC60 2021 with Sensus, and I set the option to "no speed" (so video could play even while driving).

Right after applying the coding, the car went into turtle mode (reduced performance) — I can't drive faster than 10 km/h. Also, several DTCs appeared, including ones related to:
  • Battery/voltage problems
  • Braking system (CMbB)
  • Master cylinder piston position
  • H-bridge / electrical circuit intermittent

The errors appeared immediately after changing the VIM setting. I’m guessing it either conflicted with safety systems or triggered a voltage/communication fault.

Has anyone seen this before?
Could it be a wrong value in the VIM parameter? Should I revert to "stationary only" and clear DTCs again, or do a full ECU reset?

This was the flashing steps: From 03 Speed dependent -> 01 Never -> 02 Alway(All speeds) and now back to 03 Speed dependent

Any help or advice would be appreciated  I’d like to have the VIM option, I already reverted and removed the DTCs but I am wondering why is this happening.
Thanks in advance!

You disconnected the cable and OrBit before testing?
Clear DTC and lock car for ~10 mins.
