Start/Stop Battery Change Sign - akadysz - 04-27-2025

Hi, I want to get rid of the sign, without changing the battery. I need to reset the ECU to do it? Thank you.

You cannot if the battery is actually dead and does not hold charge.
Take out the support battery (in the engine bay) charge it outside of the car and test the battery with a battery tester afterwards.
Those batteries are always like this. In my case, battery was fully charged but it wouldn't provide enough power to start the engine. (Start/ stop wouldn't work)  I had to replace it.

You CAN reset it, but as IMAY said, it's pointless. If the battery is bad, the "sign" is going to come right back. You can't hide it permanently.
