Pair donors modules - oper - 04-26-2025
Hi! Is it possible to pair donors 12v modules from the C40 (CMA) VEHICLE GATEWAY MODULE (VGM), TAILGATE MODULE, ASDM, SRS,EGSM, seat modul and Harman amplifier using Orbit and PIN codes?
The ECM, CEM, and VCU modules original factory-installed.
What are the possible solutions for a car flooded up to the seats?
Do I still need a PIN code for donor VGM?

Some modules are interchangeable while others are not.
Such as SRS, BCM (ABS), VGM, CEM cannot be taken from another car. Those are all VIN coded and share secret key unique to each car from factory!
Other ECUs like, AUD, IHU, Tailgate, Seat, door controllers can be used from another car directly in most cases. Sometimes it will require some wiring because of different variants and options or some kind of certificate reload incase of IHU replacement. IHU will still function correctly except online application and map downloads and updates unless the market certificate is updated via VIDA.
Having said that,
Some of the security ECUs such as ABS, CEM can be used from another car but it will require some level of programming or replacing an eprom chip that stores car's information from OEM to replacement unit. I wouldn't advise doing it unless you really know what you are doing because the car most likely wouldn't start at all if something is done wrong.
