Sun shade and roof calibration issue - volver - 02-16-2025 On my Volvo S60 2019, I had a feeling that the sunroof was not closing properly. So I tried to do the calibration by using the knob (holding it for 40 secs in position "4") and also by using Orbit's ECM service function to initialize sunroof calibration. Interestingly in neither option, the sunroof did the full cycle which it is supposed to do - like opening fully and closing fully. After 40 seconds of either using a knob or Orbit, there was a noise for 2 seconds which sounded like a motor making sure that the sunroof is fully closed, and that's it. There are 2 DTCs - sunroof initialisation missing and sun shade initialisation missing. Both cannot be cleared. Also, automatic opening and closing of sunroof/shade therefore do not work. So - has anybody had such a situation that sunroof calibration cycle does not run properly? RE: Sun shade and roof calibration issue - IMAY2023 - 02-16-2025 I had a similar issue right before the warranty was about to end on my 2019 s60. In my case, shade had no issues but sunroof was making weird noise when closing it. I took the car to service, They tried everything what VIDA suggested. (calibration, adjustment and etc), the ended up replacing the whole assembly. RE: Sun shade and roof calibration issue - volver - 02-16-2025 In my case everything was working fine (even the automatic closing) till the moment I tried to calibrate it for the first time, which dropped the stored values in ECM apparently. RE: Sun shade and roof calibration issue - IMAY2023 - 02-16-2025 Mine also worked, it was just making noises during closing as if something physically got out of place. Check if you have a DID for reading actual sunroof actual position under the ECU tools tab when selecting CEM. If you are not getting any values, your sensors might be faulty or dirty. Try the manual procedure again, |
