Why would you assume it wouldn't blink, like any other turn indicating lamp does - regardless of the color. What color are tail lights, what color are tai lights displaying braking, what color are tail lights displaying a turn indication?
Some vehicles can the DRL ring color changed between white and amber though software configuration since the turn indicator, DRL halo and / or parking halo has the ability to display either color. Plenty of vehicles use amber as the DRL color.
