Persistent child lock deactivation message post update - dabilli - 10-28-2026 I have a 2022 Polestar 2, long range single drive. After using OrBit to enable pixel headlights, I have a persistent message on the dash stating "Rear child lock deactivated". pressing the "O" button on the steering wheel does not clear the message, nor does it disappear automatically after driving 5+ minutes. After selecting EU/RoW to enable pixel headlights, I noticed OrBit also wanted to downgrade Traffic Jam Assist from Level 4 to Level 3. I undid this config change prior to programming the car. Programming proceeded normally w/o errors. Did I do anything wrong and/or is there a way to disable this message in OrBit? RE: Persistent child lock deactivation message post update - dabilli - 10-29-2026 "SOLVED"! While the child lock message failed to disappear after writing the config to the car, and subsequently after driving for a short time, it did not appear later in the evening when I drove the car. So, it appears the car needs to be turned off (duration unknown) and turned back on for the message to clear. I did try exiting the car, locking the doors, and then re-entering the car a few moments later hoping that would clear the message. RE: Persistent child lock deactivation message post update - kbauer - 10-29-2026 Good to hear you succeeded! Some states only clear after the ecu went into sleep, which can take up to 15 minutes after locking the car. |
