HELP! Retrofit rear parking camera - Edit SOLVED - Kenn - 08-01-2026
Volvo v60 -2021 SPA
So I bought a camera with blue back, not 360. With 4 pin connector and a cable like one from the other threads (pink angled connector and dark blue? straight connnector). The cable didnt fit so i removed the plastic housing and now there is nog plastic guidance, meaning I can turn the cable any way around in both ends. The ihu cable is mounted with the cable downwards and the camera side has the cut corner on the lower left side.
Fitted it and changed 154 to 02 "with camera". Then I checked the cable. It was crossed in the blue and green line (pin 2 and 3). Switched the cables so its now straight. 1-1. Meaning they are installed the same in bot ends. Same pin our. I then put everything together but still no rear parking camera on screen.
The camera symbol is in the sensus menu but no grey bar on the left side on the camera symbol )as the other symbol has in the menu)
I think I found the schematics but I need help understanding it?
Please advise. I´m going crazy here!

There are two different types "variants" of reverse camera.
A) for (360 view) connected to the WAM module.
B) for reverse only connected to the IHU.
The cables are also different. IHU side is the same but the other end is different either goes to the WAM or reversing CAM (not 360 variant).
Make sure you purchased the correct CAM with the correct cable.
the part number for the package (cable, camera and bracket) is "32333583"

I got B) the blue camera without wam. However i cant seem to figure out the pin order? Is A4 top right in pin camera or bottom left pin?

I´ve now tried to make the cable according to the schematics. If I´m correct the pin order is
Cam - IHU
A4 - F1
A3 - F2
A2 - F3
A1 - F4
Can someone please confirm the pin out of the connector? This is how I´ve done but I´m pretty sure it´s wrong. The choices under 154 is with black text and I believe it should be white text if the connection is good.
Looking into the Camera/IHU pin order
Upper left Upper right
A1/F1 A2/F2
Down left Down right
A4/F4 A3/F3
Is the connector pins clockwise from upper left?
I´ve also changed the setting from 154 02 With cam, to 154 09 Gen 2 cam active in reverse
Now I get error code IHU-B158C66

Problem solved!
I anyone wants to wire their own cable the pin config is like this looking into the cable (like you do when you measure resistance to confirm correkt pin order).
IHU --> CAM
1------> 2
2------> 1
3------> 4
4------> 3
The pin out order of the 4-pin cable is to be read like;
1 2
4 3
To stop the confusing, just switch the upper two cables and the lower two.
The aliexpress cable was 30 dollars. OEM is 100 dollars. The shop pins it according to your request.
Also, if you want housing its brown angled for ihu and blue (not light blue) for cam. I boutht the wrong housing so I removed it to get the connectors to fit. (Also I had to re-pin the cable since it was 1-1, 2-2.....)
