Reset to defaults without Subscription? - roorback - 04-23-2026

Hello,

I currently don't have an active subscription. Since I'm selling my car, I would like to reset the settings back to default. Is this possible, or would I need to purchase a subscription just to perform the reset?

Thanks and best regards,
Uwe

You can return to OEM without subscription.

Is it also possible to return to OEM in case no connection can be made to the orbit server? Just in case orbit is no longer allowed to provide their services or anything else happens. My experience is, that almost everytime i open orbit, i need to enter the email address and wait for the code to open the SW.

You will need to be an authenticated user - authentication is required every 24hrs hrs if the app remains active.

It worked, thanks for the info. You do need to authenticate – but even without a subscription you can just click "Reset to OEM"...
The S60 is gone now. Once the Polestar arrives I'll check back in here to see if I can do something interesting with Orbit.
