OrBit v1.2.7 release notes - Power6 - 03-23-2026
OrBit 1.2.7 is released! This update introduces a few new features as well as some refinements and normal bug fixes. We are continuing more frequent releases in 2026, we skipped Feb but here we are back for March...

New features:
Parameters Monitor - Real time monitoring, graph and log export of any available data fields (DIDs) for any ECU in a new Parameters Monitor dialog (find on the ECU Tools tab)
New Connection Quality monitoring- OrBit now monitors the connection to the car for communication issues when idle and during software flashing. The purpose is to help make the user aware when they have connection issues in advance of performing critical operations that require a trouble free network connection, such as software flashing. Typical issues are: bad network cable, other software on the computer interfering, network driver issues etc.
HV Coolant fill/bleed process released from beta - The required process of bleeding the HV coolant system is added to support drain and fill service.
Add Activate in-tank Fuel Pump - The electric fuel pump can be activated to support service, to prime the fuel feed system to purge air
Quick Preset filters - Added a "Quick Preset" option to the Configurator table, to filter config items to related systems. Initially the filters include: Region Change, Lighting, Performance, and Brake
Updated Features:
Software reloads module- Improvements have been made to the software flashing process to increase reliability by recovering from network errors, report detected network errors during flashing, and accurately report failure reason when a flash fails. Retrying failed critical modules that are down after failed flash has been simplified
Air Suspension calibration- Improvements to make Air Susp calibration more reliable, set the conditions of calibration and more reliably cancel service mode during calibration prep
Improvements and Fixes:
Improved Software Flashing reconnection - Improved reliability of bypassing local network delays to find the car and reconnect in programming mode when flashing software and config
Fixed Gen2 security access issue - Unlock when the ECU returns the area is already unlocked no longer fails
Improved ECU Data (DID Reads) results - Fixed handling float values and correct scaling to produce the correct output results from raw data
Various bug fixes and reliability improvments- The catch all, just like Volvo release notes!
