Power operated tailgate retrofit. Help - Szigi - 11-17-2025
I'm looking to retrofit a power-operated tailgate onto my 2020 Volvo V60 base model. I know I need the struts, module, and wiring. My main questions are about the control module:
Does the module require coding to work?
Does it store the car's VIN?
If it does store the VIN, how can I program it to match my car?
Finally, where is this module located in the vehicle?
Could someone give me some vida instructions if possible?

the module is located in the rear right side of the boot, where the boot fuse box is. its on floor.

Based on your explanation it should be located where the arrow is pointing in the 2nd picture ?
