i am in need of help,
i live in Europe/Norway, and i want to have vida as help to update the softwares on my car volvo xc90 t8 2017, but i have been in contact with the Volvo Car Bookstore and they have told me that i can`t have vida unless i live in either canada or the united states, is there a way that anyone can help me with this problem,
i have talked to Volvo Car Bookstore but they said either canada or united states,
i have orbit as well but that is not much help either,

Indeed vida officially only supported in North America
there are workarounds but they would not be discussed here, better luck on volvo forums as this is for Orbit only

Acquiring VIDA in Europe through an independent registration office is possible; I've already done so, however, it's limited, only allowing access to diagrams/services, reading DTCs, and simple activations. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow for car/module updates.

Now that kind of blows my mind. Why would it ONLY be available here? I thought Europe had all kinds of consumer protections in place and we get access, but no one else does? Does this mean a Volvo indy mechanic can't access Vida either? So you HAVE to go to a dealer for this kind of stuff?

thank you for understanding what i meant, at the dealer they pressure you to pay 600-1000 dollers just for small things that don`t need repairs and if you dont pay a heffty fine then they can`t help by updating the softwares on your car, i tride to work with orbite but i cant seam to update it, i have been trying to get vida for a Little over 2 years, but i havent found a way to do it, and i was wondering if there was a way for me to get it i woulde really apreciate it. or if ther was a way to do it on orbit i woulde apreciate if somone told me.
i don`t get why i have such a expensive car and i can`t even use a programm that can fix my car with, im not only talking about my self but worldwide,

Yeah, it's really weird. Not even us here in Sweden can access it
Think I'd need access to fix a current software install issue (think a map update has gone bonkers).
