RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - IMAY2023 - 10-15-2025 Quote:Do you know if all 2019+ (IHU 3.2) units come with an SSD?I know for sure 2021 and 2022 s60 models come with SSD. I replaced my IHU with a newer one that came with SSD. It also does not have CD player connection which was discontinued anyway. Before swapping your HDD, make sure to uninstall all your applications first. Because according to VOLVO download center database, your VIN already have the applications installed. They would not show up for download although sensus shows no apps are installed due to fact that replacement HDD does not have them. RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - thermal-fixity - 10-17-2025 Anyone has a thread on how to physically install the new cupholder with the charger? It appears the whole armrest console is to be removed. Or is there a simpler way? RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - Nazsky786 - 10-19-2025 The complete centre console is different where the charger is, so you would replace it as complete unit. You can replace the trim if the effect is different. But you cant use the older centre console and make it fit. RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - thermal-fixity - 10-20-2025 Still WIP, tremendous amount of work to install the wireless charger - the whole centre console had to be taken out… There’re 2 screws that hold the trim around the cup holders that are only accessible from the buttom Wireless Charger install on 2017 - Pau1ey - 10-20-2025 Sounds like an unnecessary headache. I hope everyone has seen the complaints regarding those chargers being extremely slow and heating up their phones. Also, not being MagSafe it won’t hold your phone in the best spot for charging. If you haven’t seen the alternatives, there’s several various designs available now, this being the newest model that I’m aware of and own.
RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - Steffe - 10-21-2025 Wonder when they'll come out with one that fits recharge models ? RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - thermal-fixity - 11-22-2025 Where’s CEM location? Anyone has photos or a blog/thread link? Any idea what pin is needed for connecting the original charger to CEM? I’ve found the CEM. Mine has all pins, including 41. I’ve also installed the 3.2 IHU. Trying to understand what kind of pin is in the CEM plug RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - Nazsky786 - 11-23-2025 (09-22-2025, 07:54 AM)Percy Wrote: Hi! (11-22-2025, 12:34 AM)thermal-fixity Wrote: Where’s CEM location? CEM. FL 41 Brown Connector Large. If you have IHU 3.2 you can enable the on off switch option in Orbit and it will display a wireless charging icon. Pin is normally there, some work, some dont. RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - thermal-fixity - 11-24-2025 Plugged in to CEM FL41 and coded 366 WIRELESS PHONE CHARGER to 04 Inductive charging for smartphone + OnOff Btn. But not seeing the button in the IHU and the charger doesn’t work. Is there anything else to be coded? I saw 450 WIRELESS PHONE CHARGING AND NFC option but didn’t change it. Or that’s just it and my CEM doesn’t support wireless charging? Not sure if that matters but my charger comes from XC90 2021. I also did the all modules VIDA upgrade before swapping the IHU RE: Wireless Charger install on 2017 - Nazsky786 - 11-24-2025 So once you select that option with on off button you need to do a car sleep and wake. So locking car for a few minutes and then unlock it and hopefully the button will appear. You can try without the on off button to see if you car will enable charging. If however it still does not all work then the issue is the cem not supporting the wireless function and it needs to be changed to a later cem module. Im not sure if on the sensus cars the wireless chsrging pin msy be different to android versions. |
