I participate in some international Ford retrofit forums on Telegram. When I mentioned installing the 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT's digital instrument cluster in my 2013 Ford Fusion, everyone said it was impossible (easy to say when no one has ever tried or done it). I felt challenged, and after two months, the Ford Mustang instrument cluster worked perfectly in my Ford Fusion, 100% functional. Then, when I posted, people from all over the world asked me how I did it, haha. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/J9mpNqPG3WE RE: Convert Sensus system to icup? - x119 - 08-24-2025 How the newer cars communicate is very different to the Sensus cars. There are different internal car network segregations that are now implemented on AAOS, which is across flexray, can and lin. This probably reaches far beyond Fords changes. You'd burn through thousands of dollars trying and likely won't succeed on this one. And you'd end up with something everyone likes to moan about... RE: Convert Sensus system to icup? - Percy - 08-27-2025 As i tried to retrofit the roof module comparing the old schematics with the newer i realized that the VCM (Vehicle Communications Module) is removed and a VGM Vehichle Gateway Module (+more) is added, the SIM card is relocated etc etc In my opinion this makes the project impossible at least for me. You need extensive rewiring, adding new modules with new connectors (like the roof module for instance) and reprogramming. |
