You are so wrong! Small or not there are updates.
Here is the latest one, released on FEB 2025.

True! I loaded a Total Upgrade a month ago and my Sensus car is now at 3.4.4, same as AAOS cars.

Hej,
so - i updated my S60 with 2.0 without deleting changes from ORBIT (i activated acc for my car with orbit) - so after total 2.0 upgrade i had brake emergency errors in display, vida says misconfiguration bla bla - i had to rewrite configuration with orbit an now everythink is ok.
But i think, if you go to workshop and they installing a update without knowing this thirdparty config - they will spend a lot of time after upgrade to reload BCM....

So my opinion - before go to volvo workshop delete all custom settings - reload it later.

Greetings

THIS is the best advice, thanks buddy ;-)

It is the easiest advice: Restore to OEM before the dealer if you can. It avoids the possible problems. It may be no problem if you don't, only certain situations can be a problem: like enabled PA/ACC and dealer performs an update that reverts the config. Then the dealer tech will wonder why the car has ESC/ABS errors on the dash ;-) There are no guarantees there will be any problem at all. But there could be, and it might make the tech working on the car confused. So the easiest way to avoid problems, is Restore to OEM before the dealer.

All the cars have a "version" of software in config, even if there is no other way to see it for Sensus cars. It is hidden in OrBit, we don't want to change the SW versions from what Volvo sets with updates. But this gives me an idea...I will see about displaying the SW version in OrBit when the car is connected, it may be convenient to know the update level the car is at.

Hi,

A quick question for going back to OEM before service.
Within last year I did change some config items on my car using Orbit. Never had any issues. Now I'm in position where I'm happy how everything is set up.
I'm going for a service in about 2 weeks and I will have to revert back to OEM. Easy peasy.
Once back I would like to modify the back to what it has now. Can I save current config and restore back all at once? Or it is better and safer to change config one by one? Or it doesn't matter? I have maybe 20 items modified so just wondering how will that work.
What about maps? Once I'm back to OEM I will loose them and will have to upload again? Or all my data will remain just the map option won't be there?

For restoring the saved config after service, you can restore them all at once. I never have had issues with it.  After loading the backed up config, all the new items will be marked yellow. You can still modify each individually to be with OEM value before pushing the config.  Just remember to lock the car for couple of minutes to sleep and then check the new config.

For the maps,
They should stay unless the technician deletes them during service. There is a procedure on VIDA to purge all MAPs and data but it is very less likely for the technician to run that procedure.

Not sure if this is related or not but I'm in Volvo Service and I'm told they can't connect with the car either wireless or with wire to carry out total upgrade. I reverted back to OEM yesterday, all went OK. Do you think it can be related?

Uodate: so I'm after a visit in Volvo. They claim they couldn't connect the car to update all modules. Due to that they couldn't do the hybrid battery check (volvo campaign). Is it possible that adding OEM reverse camera in the past and fwd parking sensors made it unable to connect?
Like I said I did the revert to OEM yesterday and it went well. No DTC..

It's possible that you have invalid config, I think some people that are switching the amp need to reconnect the original one otherwise it detects incompatibility.

Perhaps it's the same with either or both of your add-ons

I didn't change any modules. I had CEM high already and as far as I know this is a requirement for forward parking sensors. Unless something was changed before by previous owner and I'm not aware of.

Volvo said they need to have electrician to work on the car. I don't want that as it is expensive and kind of not needed. I was planning to carry out total update, check Hybrid battery and then forget about Volvo service. Now I'm a bit stuck as I don't fancy disconnect the sensors wiring... Any idea how to proceed?
My mods are as follows:
- reverse camera OEM
- forward parking sensors including bumper harness and new wiring to CEM
- video recorder wired directly to 2 fuses next to passengers seat
- rear light with colour LED OEM
- speakers change OEM to DLS - just speakers plug and play.

All other mods were just software in Orbit.

FYI: just load the settings back from before Volvo dealer visit by Orbit and went really nice. So I don't know how would Orbit have access to car and Volvo not. I just assume it must be a different way of connection.
