RE: 025 Seat Heat Calibration - Pau1ey - 09-15-2024 (09-14-2024, 01:20 PM)Apansson Wrote: I replaced fabric with leather seats in out XC40 2020. Seat heating is really poor and 025 seat heating calibration is set to 02. The loaded 2024 XC40 B5 loaner with leather we had recently was set to 03 Heat calibration 3, though it also felt very poor. The P3Tool for older P3 Volvos had a dropdown box which for each of these variables listed the corresponding temperatures for low and high modes, for the most part they increased with each number, however the last 1 was odd and lower, not hottest. So assuming that's the case with this tool, we went with 08 Heat calibration 8 on our XC60 & XC90 for now after trying 9 earlier without great results. Hopefully that helps a bit, let us know what you notice if you try other settings. Edit: Added photo of those aforementioned settings RE: 025 Seat Heat Calibration - Apansson - 09-15-2024 Perfect. Will try tweaking it a bit. No problems for you running at 8th setting? Don’t want to overheat
025 Seat Heat Calibration - Pau1ey - 09-15-2024 I’m hoping to figure out the hottest setting LOL. My 2008 Jeep Commander still gets much hotter than all the settings I’ve tried so far. I’m sure it’s probably Volvo looking out for our safety again. RE: 025 Seat Heat Calibration - Apansson - 09-19-2024 Changed from 02 to 05 today with not much of a noticeable difference. Is the XC40 seat heating just really poor? Will try a higher setting soon. RE: 025 Seat Heat Calibration - Apansson - 09-20-2024 According to the temperatures above it won’t even be 37 degrees Celsius at standard setting. A my BMWs seat is about 47 by default. I guess that explains why it doesn’t feel hot ? RE: 025 Seat Heat Calibration - sapph940-1 - 05-04-2026 Any updates here? Did anybody figure out what the hottest option is? 025 Seat Heat Calibration - Pau1ey - 05-04-2026 I left mine on 8, which felt the warmest after trying a few. The seats have a temperature sensor in them so it’s not like years ago when they just heated continuously. Allready explained to my girlfriend but she prefers her VW Passat burning her ass nonstop. I actually like to have the heating only on a low setting. 025 Seat Heat Calibration - Pau1ey - 05-07-2026 I hear you! I just wish there was a way to have only the back part and not seat heated. I was also hoping to see the temperatures like in P3Tool but so far I haven’t found anything. There is other relevant setting, but I wasn’t able to determine if the low/high attenuation upholstery made a difference. Perhaps it does, it would make sense that different materials would need higher temps. RE: 025 Seat Heat Calibration - sapph940-1 - 05-07-2026 (05-07-2026, 03:46 AM)Pau1ey Wrote: I hear you! My new comfort leather seats are not getting as hot and also much slower than the R design Alcantara I had before. Sure the leather is thicker so that's why... So different settings maybe make sense. |
