After buying new OBD cable and dongle ‘Success’. Happy boy. Haven’t gone back to figure out which component was bad but either way they’re both going back to Amazon.
Many thanks to those who offered help and suggestions. Forward to bigger and better things, but don’t worry I’ll probably be back in a while with new problems.
