Uk Orbit noob here trying Orbit out for the first time on my 'new' V90 R Design Pro 2019 T5. I seem to have quite a lot of options missing in the configuration tab including any kind of Polestar options. Only plugged Orbit in the once so far and did the Auto SS with memory option which worked but a few other things that didn't (for another thread perhaps). When I enter my VIN on the official Polestar website it comes up with the below benefits;

Hi all,

After programming (or during programming), Orbit clears the DTC(s). At least "... clearing DTCs ..." is shown in the dialogue box and DTCs are gone when I check afterwards.
Is it possible to keep the DTCs? And why are DTCs cleared after programming (maybe because during programming, many false triggers would go into the DTC?)

The reason why I want to keep the DTCs is: Before bringing the car to the dealer for having it serviced, i restore the configuration to OEM. However, all DTC are gone and are not visible to the dealer.

In the Orbit Expert Toolbox there are "Override programming checks" and "Skip post programming". I would assume that clearing DTC is part of the post programming and could be deactivated with the second option. But as this is in the Expert Toolbox and Orbit shows a Warnign when the box is unticked, I hesitate to just trying it.

P.S. Kudos to the Orbit devs. Great to have again the ability to take control of the car, as the newer VIDA versions (after 2014D) are not available in europe.

Hello,
I am a new Orbit user for my 2020 Volvo V90CC.
Following a sunroof leak that caused the trailer hitch control module (module number 31454548) to be flooded, I found an identical second-hand module.

I would like to get it working in my car using Orbit. Andrew mentioned that performing a TRM module reset will make it work again.

I wanted to check with you to make sure I’m following the correct procedure:

Orbit connected → ECU Tools
Active Dia ECU: TRM
Reset ECU

Is there anything else I should do?

So far, the retractable tow hitch still doesn’t work after performing this procedure.
Thank you for your advice.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for assistance with my 2018 Volvo V90 Cross Country (SPA platform). My VCM (connectivity module) is defective, and I have already sourced a used replacement unit (Part No. 31489809).
Since I need to adapt this used module to my car, I am looking for someone anywhere in Germany (or the Benelux area) who has the tools and experience to:

Extract the 12-digit CEM PIN.

I followed the guide to capture packets from VIDA found on this forum.

I used the tools in Orbit to retrieve my pins from wireshark capture file.

Everything seemed ok, all 3 pins were found and automatically set in Orbit.

But when I try to program a new key I get a "Incorrect PIN" error, and the log implies CEM pin is invalid.

How can I fix this?

Hi,
In the near future, I’m planning to replace the front and rear brake pads, but not at an official Volvo service center - instead at a workshop that specializes in several car brands. As far as I know, they use VIDA. the only change I made using Orbit was unlocking Pilot Assist. I’m not planning to do any system upgrades or anything else there besides replacing the brake pads.
Should I revert my Orbit changes back to the default settings, or can I leave everything as it is? For more context, it's V60 from 2021 (Sensus), Europe

Hi there.
Question.

Is it possible to change to that the turn knob for automatic half light is the only way to turn the function off?
The function im after is that if i turn the automatic half light on and the only way to turn it off is using the knob and not the stick.
I have a extra ramp and its connected using xbb.
If I have automatic half on and I just passes a car full light goes on.
At that moment the ramp is not active. If I push the stick forward the ramp gets active.
But now when i pull the stick towards me the ramp gets inactive but also the automatic.
Soo i now have to turn the knob again to turn automatic back on.

If I set the ramp to turn on with the automatic light the sensors that discover i meeting car dont goes to halv since its soo bright.

Hopefully you guys understand what im after.

Is this possible to change?

Best regards Thomas.
